Working principle
Skip is a hoisting container directly loaded with valuable ore, waste rock and gangue. Divided into vertical-shaft type and inclined-shaft type. For main-shaft skips, classified by hoist type: single-rope skip and multi-rope skip. By unloading mode: bottom-dump type and tipping-dump type for vertical shafts; rear-dump type and tipping-dump type for inclined shafts. Bottom-dump skips are adopted for coal mine vertical shafts, rear-dump for inclined shafts. Tipping-dump skips are used for drum-winding hoisting in metal mines, while bottom-dump skips for multi-rope friction hoisting.
